WHICH FIRMWARE, WHY.
Every firmware here is open source — the only kind worth building a device on. All of them run on the 3.5" CYD; they differ in which radios they drive and how deep they go. Straight comparison, no marketing.
THE RUNDOWN
Pueo
Open · GPL-3.0An ESP32-DIV fork tuned specifically for the 3.5" CYD. The widest set of radios in one touch-driven unit — WiFi, BLE, NRF24, sub-GHz and RFID — plus drone Remote ID and hidden-surveillance detection. Easiest all-rounder on this hardware, and the base we're building our own firmware on.
Bruce
Open sourceThe most menus of the bunch — WiFi, BLE, IR, RFID, sub-GHz, LoRa and FM — plus a scripting engine. If you want a bit of everything in one firmware (IR especially), this is it. Most of the radio menus need their matching add-on module fitted to do anything.
Marauder
Open · MITWiFi and Bluetooth only — but deeper on those two than anything else here, and it also does drone Remote ID, Flock surveillance-camera and Meta-glasses detection, network port scanners, a channel analyzer and wardriving. No sub-GHz, NRF24 or RFID. The pick when WiFi/BLE recon is the real job.
COMING: OUR OWN FIRMWARE
Built on Pueo's open base, rebranded as ours, with the Marauder-style WiFi analysis folded in — open source and shipped on our devices. Because a firmware you can't see, fix or legally resell isn't something we'd ever put our name on.
